· 2(C)
publish information in a variety of ways such as print, monitor display, web
pages, and video
Focus:
Upon completion of this class students will be able to do proper exercises to
increase their core strength.
Upon completion of this class students will
have a better understanding of core exercises and how to do them to improve
their core on their own.
Format and Procedures:
To begin class I will start by sending the students to go get dressed out.
I will then bring them out onto the gym floor where we will do some
simple stretches and exercises to get the students ready to go for the
activity. After the warm-up I will
explain to the students what the goal and objectives are for today’s
lesson. I will then have them stay
on the side of the gym with the projector so that they are close enough to hear,
follow along, and pay attention to the workout. If the students have any trouble with
the exercises I will show them to the best of my ability what to and if they are
unable to do the exercise I will have them do a simpler exercise that I know
they can do. After the workout is
over I will explain to the students why it is good to have core strength. After
that I will send them to go get changed
out.
Guided Practice:
I will be walking around making sure the students are following the rules and
directions given at the beginning of
class.
Independent Practice:
Have the students assess themselves on each of the different exercises we are doing
so that they can see if they are doing it right or
not.
Closing:
I will explain to the students why it is important to strengthen your core muscles
and then I will send them to go get
dressed.
Assessment:
I will assess the students by walking around and making sure they are doing the
exercise that is on the screen and that they are doing it right so they don’t
hurt themselves.
Adaptation to Plan:
If there are any students in the class that have special needs I will make changes
so that the lesson is suitable for them to join in and participate.
If we are low on space and need to go somewhere else I will find
somewhere to take the students and have an ab work out planned for
them.
